Mechanical Engineering '18 Hello! I am a senior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration and Management. In addition to the Society of Women Engineers, I am actively involved with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Club Squash team here at BU. I am interested in the interdependence of Business and Technology. Last semester, I took a course that allowed me to spend Spring Break in China and Hong Kong visiting multiple tech firms in developing markets. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, playing the flute and learning about different cultures.

Mechanical Engineering '18 I’m a senior from Minnesota studying Mechanical Engineering. Some of my favorite courses at BU have been Dynamics, Earth Science and Chemistry. In addition to classes, I work in a Global Health Biomedical Engineering Lab under Professor Zaman. I'm traveling to Zanzibar with the lab this summer. This is my fourth year in SWE and my second year on the E-board. I have also participated in Engineers Without Borders. Outside of engineering activities, I play on an intramural soccer team, am in a running group, volunteer, and am involved in the Honors College.

Biomedical Engineering '20 I am a sophomore studying biomedical engineering with a minor in computer science. This is my second year involved with the Society of Women Engineers and my first year on the e-board. I joined the club because I think it is really important to close the gender gap in STEM and engineering especially to make the field more inclusive. I am interested in the intersection of business and technology and after graduation hope to go on to get my MBA.

Mechanical Engineering '19 Hello! I’m a junior from Kentucky studying Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Material Science Engineering and concentration in Energy Technology. I wanted to be a part of the Society of Women Engineers E-board because I am passionate about empowering the woman minority in engineering. In addition to SWE, I’m very involved with Alpha Phi Omega on campus which is a co-ed service fraternity. I am also a mentor in the TRAC Program. I regularly run and am hoping to join Running Club this semester! In my professional life, I’m very interested in renewable energy technology which has fueled my concentration as well as all of my internships. I’m planning to study abroad in the spring in Sydney, Australia.
