About This Event: In partnership with UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS), the Society of Women Engineering (SWE) invites you to join us for evening of networking, idea-sharing and interactive discussion to celebrate women's history month. This event will feature a panel of four successful women currently blazing trails in different tech fields within UTAS. We will hear personal stories from the panelists aimed at empowering women in tech of all experience levels to define success on their own terms. Afterwards, we will open the discussion for networking with panelists and attendees. Attendees will have an opportunity to connect with other women in the Boston tech community. Share experiences on navigating, working and achieving personal success in the tech industry. Hear from four successful women who have each accomplished their own unique career goals.

IDEA 2018: Exploring Innovation through Design, Education and Activation IDEA 2018: The Innovate@BU Conference Saturday, April 21st IDEA 2018 is a one-day event for BU students to explore innovation of every kind, including enterprise, social impact, arts, and culture.From start to finish, students will be inspired by world-class innovators, engage with strategies and tools for developing new ideas, and connected with resources throughout BU and Boston that can help them transform ideas into impact. We’re looking for volunteers to help execute this conference and make it a meaningful experience for all attendees! Anyone who: Wants to be part of this exciting end to BU Innovation Week, Is curious or eager to learn more about how to take ideas to impact, Enjoys learning about how to solve problems around them is invited to participate! In exchange for your time, volunteers will get to attend the entire conference (only 150 spots available), have a chance to lead discussions with attendees, and be part of BU’s first ever innovation conference. Boston Codess – an upcoming event held at Microsoft’s Offices in Cambridge, MA on April 12th from 4-8pm for female students in tech.Codess is a community for female coders initiated by Microsoft. Codess was established to explore ways to promote gender diversity in the engineering field. We’d love to see some SWE members in attendance! Sign up to express interest in attending HERE. Please fill out this survey by Sunday, April 1st. This is a great opportunity to network with some of Microsoft’s talented female engineers (many alumni from Boston are schools!) and hear a keynote from Microsoft’s Chief People Officer–Kathleen Hogan. Dinner and technical workshops will also be part of the evening, along with an on-site recruiter to answer any questions you might have about future opportunities at Microsoft.
