On Sunday, November 1st SWE held a Bonding Night to launch our 2015-2016 Mentorship program. The Mentorship Program pairs a SWE underclassman with an upperclassman of the same major. The older members are a friendly source of information for the younger women and are able to give advice with regards to classes, and share their internship and career experiences.
The Bonding Night began with an icebreaker where the girls sharing a fun fact about themselves, which featured a great deal of laughter! We then separated into four teams-- Chipz 'n Dip, Lindsay Hulley, SWEetie Pie, and The Winners-- and faced off in a Trivia Challenge. It was an exciting and rather loud event, from which everyone learned that LEGOs were invented in Denmark and that Scotland's national animal is the unicorn!
Finally, those who were able to stay had pizza and watched Bridget Jone's Diary. The Bonding Night was a lovely way for our mentor/mentee pairs to get to know each other and was a great start to our Mentorship Program!
